Perched high on the Oloololo Escarpment above Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara, Angama Mara enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in East Africa. Rising 1,000 feet above the plains, the lodge offers sweeping views across the Mara, with every suite positioned to make the most of the extraordinary landscape.
Spread across two kopjes, the elegant Tented Suites combine contemporary comfort with understated safari style. Each spacious 100-square-metre suite features floor-to-ceiling glass fronts, polished parquet floors and classic canvas details, with uninterrupted views from the bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. Private decks provide the perfect place for in-tent dining, a massage or simply watching the changing light across the plains.
A nearby kopje is the famous filming location for scenes from Out of Africa, adding an extra layer of romance to an already remarkable setting. The lodge itself sits within 700 hectares of private land, including indigenous forest and abundant resident wildlife, and borders the Mara Triangle.
With a private road providing direct access to the reserve, guests can be game viewing within around ten minutes. The combination of exceptional wildlife, spectacular scenery and a wonderfully exclusive setting makes Angama Mara much more than a place to stay.
