Rekero Camp
Rekero Camp holds a prime Talek riverside position in the heart of The Masai Mara, offering superb access to incredible Kenyan game viewing all year-round.
Set among the trees overlooking the Talek River in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Rekero Camp enjoys an exceptional position close to one of the Great Migration’s most dramatic river crossings. From the camp’s expansive deck, guests can watch wildebeest brave the waters as crocodiles wait below, with the migration typically passing through between July and October.
The camp has nine spacious safari tents, each blending naturally into the surrounding landscape and featuring an en-suite bathroom with hot-water shower and private veranda. Days begin with coffee overlooking the river, while evenings are spent enjoying sundowners as hippos grunt below.
Recently rebuilt, Rekero’s lounge, dining area and deck provide a comfortable setting from which to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Mara. With a reputation for warm hospitality and a high number of returning guests, the camp offers a relaxed and personal safari experience.
Beyond the migration, Rekero provides excellent year-round wildlife viewing. The surrounding reserve supports abundant resident game, including lions, leopards, hyenas and servals, making every game drive an opportunity for memorable encounters.
With its prime riverfront location, superb wildlife and front-row position for the Great Migration, Rekero Camp is an excellent choice for travellers wanting to experience the Masai Mara at its most dramatic.
