Classic Game Drives

A vehicle safari is available everywhere. For those are are looking to switch off and marvel at the sights surrounding them. It's worth noting that in National Parks, off-roading is not allowed however in private reserves, guided vehicles are allowed anywhere and everywhere. They're also a great opportunity for a sundowner or two off the bonnet!

Walking in the Wild

Walking safaris do not have to be strenuous. They are an opportunity to learn close-up and drink in every creatures' contribution to nature. You may come face to face with big game but with at least two guides, you'll be safe and in good hands at all times. A reasonable level of fitness is required as leisurely walks may last a good few hours, usually during the cooler times of the day.

Thrilling Rides

Perhaps considered to be the ultimate adventure, riding safaris are simply spectacular. From a leisurely day ride to full itineraries on mobile or static camps, or from the Okavango waterways to the salt pans of the Kalahari, it is an experience like no other. They are for good riders only and for those who are comfortable of galloping away from danger if needed. Complete honesty about your ability is the best policy here.

Water Adventures

Travelling along a serene river or waterway in Africa is perhaps the best switch-off one can imagine. From the luxury boats on the Chobe River to the mighty adrenaline rushes at Victoria Falls. Or from canoeing on the Zambezi to floating on a mokoro, it truly is a wonderful experience and something that should be included in all itineraries.

Night Drives

Discover a whole new side of the African bush on a night drive safari. Guided by expert rangers, you’ll explore the reserve under starlit skies, using spotlights to reveal elusive nocturnal wildlife.

Witness predators like lions and leopards on the move, and catch rare glimpses of bush babies, aardvarks, civets, and owls. Night drives offer an unforgettable chance to observe the bush’s hidden nightlife and thrilling natural behaviours.

Available in select private reserves and parks, night drives are a must for those seeking a deeper, more mysterious safari experience.

Tip: Dress warmly, stay quiet, and let the night come alive!

Flying High!

Take your safari to new heights with unforgettable helicopter and hot air balloon rides over Africa’s most iconic landscapes.

Helicopter Safaris

Soar over the dramatic terrains of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, the lush channels of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, or Kenya’s wild Laikipia Plateau. Helicopter flights offer exclusive access to remote areas and incredible aerial views of wildlife and scenery.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

Float peacefully above the plains of the Masai Mara or Serengeti at sunrise, watching elephants, lions, and migrating herds below. A once-in-a-lifetime experience often topped off with a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Conservation & Tracking

Go beyond traditional game drives with immersive experiences that connect you to Africa’s wild spaces in a meaningful way. Track elephants, rhinos, big cats, and other iconic species alongside expert guides and conservationists, learning how to read the land, follow animal movements, and understand their behaviour.

These hands-on activities support real conservation efforts -  from anti-poaching patrols and wildlife monitoring to habitat restoration and community-led initiatives. It’s a chance to contribute to the protection of Africa’s biodiversity while gaining a deeper appreciation for its wildlife.

Away from Safari

There are of course many other options for incredible adventures in Africa. Whether this is the winelands of South Africa, the blue waters of Zanzibar or the incredible Panoramic Route, there is an add-on available for every safari adventure. We cannot recommend highly enough a trip to main cities like Cape Town, Kigali or Nairobi. Or perhaps even a hike up Kilimanjaro!

Volunteering

Volunteering is simply superb. There are many options available for wildlife rescue & rehabilitation, community projects and conservation, and you're never too old to experience getting involved. Working with endangered wildlife is hugely rewarding and you'll not only come away with the feeling of making a real difference, you'll want to return for more.

We specialise in hosted group trips or tailor-made adventures, with a particular focus on travellers who are looking to combine their love of wildlife protection with the comforts of a private safari lodge. We work with some superb providers across KenyaBotswana and South Africa where you'll feel part of the family in rehabilitating wildlife who have encountered previous difficulties or cruelty at the hands of humans, hunters, warfare and in some circumstances, circuses. It also comes with a bit of hard work - always good for the soul!

Send us a message if you're keen to try volunteering for yourself.
