Ubuntu Migration Camp
Front-Row Seats to the Great Migration, Ubuntu Camp is a mobile safari camp which moves with the Wildebeest Migration through The Serengeti in Tanzania
Ubuntu Migration Camp is a classic tented safari camp that moves with the Great Wildebeest Migration, offering unrivalled access to wildlife and remote, exclusive corners of the Serengeti. Designed with comfort, sustainability, and authenticity in mind, the camp is fully solar-powered, eco-friendly, and easily disassembled - leaving no trace on the land it travels through.
With just 10 spacious canvas tents, including one four-sleeper family tent, Ubuntu combines rustic charm with thoughtful touches: mesh side panels for natural light, en suite bathrooms with safari-style bucket showers, and inviting porches perfect for afternoon wildlife viewing.
From June to mid-November, the camp is based on the Lamai Wedge in the northern Serengeti, an area known for dramatic Mara River crossings and a refreshing lack of crowds - ideal for photography and walking safaris. Between mid-December and mid-March, Ubuntu relocates to the southern plains of Kusini, where guests enjoy expansive views, prime access to migrating herds, and incredible big cat sightings during the calving season.
Whether sipping morning coffee as wildebeest thunder past, or soaring above the plains in a hot-air balloon, guests enjoy exceptional guiding, warm hospitality, and outstanding value for money - all delivered with incredible renowned service.
