Expeditionary Walking Camp

Rediscover the gentle rhythm of nature with Expeditionary Walking Camp in Ruaha, Tanzania that echoes the spirit of days gone by

This private, expedition-style camp is the embodiment of old-school safari charm - light enough to follow on foot into truly remote places, yet comfortable enough to feel deeply spoiling.

A conscious step back to our roots as safari pioneers, this is how it all began: simple, mobile, and led by the rhythm of the wild. While the world has changed, the elements that make a safari exceptional remain the same - space, silence, solitude, and connection to nature.

Designed for exploration, this camp has mobility and minimal impact at its core. Its light footprint allows us to reach - and move through - some of Tanzania’s most untouched wilderness areas. It’s here, far from the crowds, where true adventure lives and the safari spirit feels most alive.

Forget the frills. This experience is about what matters: waking with the dawn, walking in the cool of the day, resting in the heat, and soaking up the gentle rhythm of life in the bush. It’s raw, real, and deeply rewarding.

At night, you’ll dine under starlit skies and fall asleep to the soft calls of scops owls and nightjars. Sometimes, you’ll be stirred by the primal roar of a lion in the dark. And in that moment, you might wonder what on earth you’re doing here. But as the sun rises and you wrap your hands around a warm mug of coffee, you’ll know exactly why.

Because this - this is what it’s all about.
