Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Set in ancient mahogany tree surroundings, Lake Manyara Tree lodge offers romance in a cool, leafy environment, perfect for those looking for a wild, relaxing and remote experience.
Romantic treehouse suites are immersed in the sounds of the forest, with elephants often wandering past the decks. Cradled in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, nine stilted suites crafted from local timber and makuti palm fronds offer an intimate blend of romance, privacy, and exclusivity in cool, leafy surroundings. Each suite features generous decks suspended above the forest floor, while large windows invite the lush forest inside.
Set deep within a mahogany forest, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only permanent lodge in Lake Manyara National Park. Thoughtfully designed to have minimal environmental impact, the lodge is situated in a remote, game rich area of the park’s south western region, offering guests exclusive interpretive safaris in peaceful surroundings with few other vehicles. This tranquility makes it the perfect place to begin or end a safari, allowing guests to relax and absorb the calm energy of the forest.
The shimmering lake, set against the dramatic escarpment, creates breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. When the park closes, only &Beyond guests and vehicles remain, allowing for a rare sense of privacy as the landscape glows in golden light. Early mornings bring the sounds of the forest and the opportunity to enjoy coffee by the lake as soft pinks and oranges fill the sky and birdlife awakens.
Each Treehouse Suite features elegant bedrooms with contemporary furnishings in neutral tones and textures, overhead fans, and billowing mosquito nets. The bathrooms include freestanding baths with forest views and an outdoor shower, completing an immersive experience in nature.
