Mnemba Island Lodge is an idyllic tropical retreat located just off the north eastern tip of Zanzibar. With only twelve luxuriously rustic bandas opening onto a pristine white coral sand beach, the island offers an intimate and exclusive escape. The island spans just 1.5kms and is make up solely by those staying at Mnemba. It has a really relaxed sense of privacy and secluded vibe with guests able to enjoy each day as slowly or adventurous as they like. 


Barefoot serenity and romance define the spirit of Mnemba Island, creating a deep sense of connection and calm. A range of wellness and spiritually inspired experiences are available in the wonderful private spa, and the island is perhaps best known for its vibrant coral reefs and tranquil turquoise waters. Guests can snorkel direclty from the beach and its worth exploring the reef restoration projects which provides first-hand insight into local conservation efforts. The island is also an important breeding ground for green turtles and a protected sanctuary for small antelope. 


Mnemba Island Lodge has 12 intimate bandas set within a tropical forest and fringed by a powder white coral sand beach, each offering a private stretch of shoreline. Understated luxury is infused with cultural character through locally sourced brass, marble, ceramics, and Omani antiques, creating spaces that feel both elegant and deeply connected to the natural environment.
