Nanyukie Lodge
Set in the fabulous Eastern Serengeti, Nanyukie Lodge lies in the heart of the migration corridor and an area famed for its large concentration of predators.
Meaning “endless plains” in the Maasai language, the Serengeti is one of the world’s most iconic wilderness areas, renowned for its stunning landscapes and exceptional wildlife. Located in the central region, about an hour’s drive from Seronera Airstrip, this lodge enjoys sweeping views across open savannah dotted with rocky kopjes and shaded by ancient acacia trees.
This prime location lies along the route of the Wildebeest Migration and offers outstanding game viewing throughout the year, with a particularly high concentration of predators including cheetah. Once reserved for scientific research into big cats, the area remains one of the most rewarding regions for wildlife encounters, with expert guided game drives and walks available year round.
The lodge blends contemporary style with classic safari design, featuring canvas walls, high tented ceilings and expansive wooden decks. Fifteen spacious suites, including a two bedroom option ideal for families or friends, are thoughtfully positioned for privacy. Each suite offers an oversized bed, comfortable lounge area and a generous bathroom with double vanities, indoor and outdoor showers and a freestanding bathtub. Private decks include sunken seating and a plunge pool overlooking the plains.
The main lodge area includes a lounge and bar, indoor and outdoor dining spaces and a viewing deck leading to a swimming pool. Guests can enjoy specially arranged experiences such as bush breakfasts and lantern lit dinners, while evenings are often spent around the campfire. A secluded spa tent set among the trees provides an additional space for relaxation, completing a refined yet immersive safari experience in the heart of the Serengeti.
