Riverdene Family Lodge

Set overlooking the beautiful bushveld of South Africa’s Eastern Cape, Riverdene Family Lodge is designed around one simple idea: enjoying safari together. The lodge has four spacious Luxury Family Rooms, each with a private safari vehicle, allowing families to enjoy a more flexible and personalised safari experience. There are three two-bedroom family rooms accommodating up to six guests, as well as a larger three-bedroom family room sleeping up to nine. The three-bedroom room also includes a wheelchair-accessible bedroom, making it a particularly versatile option for larger family groups.

Each family unit is designed to feel like a comfortable home away from home, with generous living spaces where everyone can relax between activities. The peaceful setting provides wonderful opportunities to enjoy the surrounding bushveld, from spectacular sunsets to watching wildlife moving across the landscape.

Younger guests are particularly well catered for through the Kids on Safari programme, which introduces children to the wonders of the African bush through fun, engaging and educational activities. From learning about wildlife to discovering the smaller creatures and natural world around them, the programme gives children their own sense of adventure while parents enjoy the safari experience too.
