Accommodation:

Maninghi Lodge offers a selection of comfortable, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms as well as two Safari Tents overlooking the Olifants River.

All lodge rooms include:

• Coffee/tea station

• Wi-Fi access

Our Safari Tents provide a relaxed, back-to-nature experience while still ensuring comfort. Each tent is comfortably appointed with a double bed, fan, side tables and lights, a plug point, and a small private patio with river views. Linen and towels are provided. The communal bathroom for tent guests is shared by a maximum of four guests and is located 30 meters from the tent platform. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, including the tents.

About Balule Nature Reserve

Balule Nature Reserve forms part of the world-renowned Greater Kruger National Park. Through a joint conservation initiative, Balule’s fences were removed to connect seamlessly with neighboring reserves such as Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, as well as the iconic Kruger National Park. Spanning nearly 60,000 hectares, Balule supports thriving wildlife populations, including the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. The reserve is home to over 70 mammal species and more than 430 bird species.

Located in the subtropical lowveld, Balule features diverse ecosystems with over 336 documented tree species, including Leadwoods, Knobthorns, Marulas, and Mopanes. The Olifants River and surrounding waterholes provide vital lifelines for hippos and crocodiles, making Maninghi Lodge a prime wildlife-viewing destination year-round.
