Kiri Camp
Named after the Kiri Channel, this wonderful raised wooden deck safari camp sits on a small island forming part of a private concession in The Okavango Delta.
Kiri Camp is named after the Kiri Channel, which flows past the island on which the camp is situated. Raised on wooden decks, the camp offers sweeping views over the mighty Kiri floodplains that stretch endlessly before it.
The luxury tents are thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding ebony forest, beneath which the camp rests. Natural materials such as wood, canvas, and reeds form the foundation of the camp’s architecture, creating a refined yet organic aesthetic that complements its pristine setting.
Kiri Camp offers a diverse range of activities, including both game drives and water-based excursions. Located within a private concession, these experiences provide access to some of the Delta’s most remote and previously inaccessible areas. During peak flood season, motorboat rides offer an exhilarating opportunity to view iconic wildlife from the river. Guests can also glide silently in traditional mokoro canoes through water lilies, observing wildlife from a unique, water-level perspective.
The Kiri area is renowned for its abundant and diverse wildlife, particularly its impressive lion and buffalo interactions, as well as notable populations of the rare African wild dog.
As Kiri Camp lies within a private concession, guests enjoy the added privileges of off-road and night drives, as well as guided, armed nature walks through the surrounding islands, led by highly knowledgeable guides.

Why this Camp..?
(According to Google Reviews)
Kiri Camp reviews are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting its beautiful, new design, luxurious tents, exceptional food, and outstanding, welcoming staff, with guests praising the knowledgeable guides or incredible wildlife sightings (elephants, leopards, cheetahs). Reviewers consistently mention the camp's location overlooking a waterhole and the chance for unique experiences like mokoro (canoe) trips, though some note that the Delta flooding (which brings more water activities) varies by season, suggesting a visit during the wetter months for the full experience.
Key Highlights from Reviews:
Hospitality: Staff are frequently described as incredibly warm, friendly, charming, and going above and beyond.
Accommodation: Tents are new, spacious, beautifully designed, and well-equipped with modern comforts.
Guiding & Wildlife: Excellent, knowledgeable guides lead amazing game drives and walks, with sightings of big cats, elephants, and diverse birdlife.
Food & Service: Delicious, creative food and excellent service are consistently mentioned.
Location: Situated in the Okavango Delta, overlooking a busy waterhole, offering constant animal viewing from camp.
Things to Consider:
Water Levels: The camp's full water experience (mokoro, closer animals) depends on seasonal flooding; visiting during the wetter season offers a different, perhaps more complete, Delta experience than the dry season.
Overall Sentiment:
Guests highly recommend Kiri Camp, calling it a dream, outstanding, and the best safari experience for many, with many expressing a strong desire to return
