Dukes Camp
Dukes Camp is an immersive, vintage-style traditional safari in one of Africa’s most spectacular wildernesses, The Okavango Delta.
If Jack's Camp belongs to the salt pans, Duke's belongs to the water. Tucked beneath towering ebony and leadwood trees in the northern Okavango Delta - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Eight tented suites sit on raised wooden decks, each positioned to make the most of the Delta views. Inside, the aesthetic simply wonderful. Persian rugs, four-poster beds, brass fittings and oil lanterns.
The mess tent keeps the old-world faith: carved tables, antique silver, crystal glassware, a well-stocked bar, and dinners served beneath the trees.
Out in the concession, the game viewing is exceptional. The Delta's Big Five are all here, alongside large predators, African wild dog, red lechwe, serval, and caracal. Birdlife runs to over 350 species; Pel's fishing-owl, wattled crane, carmine bee-eater among the highlights.
What makes Duke's different is how you move through it: game drives, yes, but also mokoro canoe safaris drifting silently through lily-covered channels, and boat excursions where the water does the work. It's a camp for people who want their sundowner under an ancient leadwood, their morning coffee interrupted by elephants, and their evenings to feel like something from another century.
